Description
Drs. Jason and Alex Hecht affectionately refer to some of their patients as dental disaster patients. These patients are those who have been receiving multiple treatments over their lives without being able to achieve complete oral healthcare. At Staten Island Aesthetic & Implant Dentist, we cater to these patients and provide comprehensive, lifelong care.

Dr. Alex Hecht: People seek us out for this level of care that we provide
to them. Being able to take somebody that's not seen a dentist, most likely
for the past 20, 30 years, or has been seeing a dentist every couple of
weeks for the past 20, 30 years, and everything was done on them, and
nothing worked. So they come to a point where it's like, every so often
they're changing this bridge, they're changing that bridge. They're losing
this tooth. They need a root canal here, root canal there, this tooth
cracked, that tooth cracked.
Most places they go to aren't really equipped to be able to help them in a
meaningful manner, in a timely manner. So the people will come in, oh, I
don't know, let me send you to the periodontist. Let me send you to the
oral surgeon. Let me send you to the endodontist. Things take time.
Everything takes months and years, and by the time that something is done
in one area of the mouth, another area of the mouth starts breaking down.
Dr. Jason Hecht: And we like to affectionately call these people our dental
disaster patients because they feel it themselves, that they have tooth
disasters, that their mouth is a disaster. These are the people that end up
seeking us out because this tooth had a root canal, and this tooth had a
root canal. These teeth needed a bridge, and then that bridge broke. And a
lot of these people have just gotten sick and tired for spending weeks and
weeks and weeks out of their life, sitting in the dental chair, getting
worked on, getting drilled on, getting teeth being pulled out.
They find us because they're looking for a comprehensive solution, like a
final solution to their dental problems, and that's where we like to step
in and offer them an alternative. That alternative often is a comprehensive
implant treatment, and what we try to do with those people is once we come
up with a plan with them which because of our technology is generally very
quick, we're able to find a plan for them. From the day that we get started
working on them, we find a way to get them teeth right away.
